Please join us for a Friends Only tour of the soon to close Horse Power. The tour will be led by Tom Rassieur, Mia’s John E. Andrus III Curator of Prints and Drawings who along with Associate Curator Dennis Jon, created the exhibit from Mia’s permanent collection, including its signature piece, The Jockey by Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. Mia collection has over 400 pieces of art that include horses, which although seldom in our daily lives, are rarely absent from our imaginations. Our curators Tom and Dennis picked their favorite 70, which includes artist such as: Degas, Picasso, Remington, Matisse, and many more.
This tour is free to Friends members. Please register by calling Friends office at 612.870.3045. Tour is limited to 15. We will meet at the information desk in the General Mills lobby at 10:50AM and meet Tom Rassieur in the gallery at 11AM.
